Dietary Management of Growth Faltering and Catch-up Growth
    Apr 16 @ 4:00 pm – 4:45 pm

It is common for parents to be worried about their child’s growth, as growth in early childhood can have a long term impact. The question however is, when to really be worried and what the difference is between faltering growth and malnutrition. Once this has been established, most parents also want to know about catch-up growth and what they can practically do in regards to food and feeds at home. Dr. Rosan Meyer, paediatric dietitian, has 24 year experience in paediatric nutrition and will provide during the webinar some practical tips on how to manage faltering growth and also when to access further healthcare input. This webinar is not a replacement for an individual dietetic consultation and will be 50 min long (including 5 min of questions) and cost 20 Euros.

To do this, parents need to have knowledge of what makes a “healthy diet” during childhood and to also understand the principles of good growth. This live Q and A will not only focus on how to promote healthy eating in childhood, but also how to minimise the risk of excessive weight gain and what can be done if parents have concern about their child’s eating patterns. Dr. Julie Lanigan has more than 25 year’s experience in childhood obesity and is co-founder of TrimTots Community Interest Company, which is aimed at prevention and treatment of childhood obesity. This free live webinar will be 45 min long, and you can ask questions about healthy eating and growth in children.
