FEEDING DIFFICULTIES IN TODDLERS

“My child does not eat” – is a common complaint I hear from parents of toddlers. This can be extremely frustrating and concerning for any carer. Around 20-45 % of parents report that their toddlers are picky eaters and that mealtimes take longer to achieve good intake. Whilst it is normal for toddlers to become more independent and exert their will, the question is when a parent should be worried and what can be done.

Here are 2 webinars that you may find useful. One on the practical help for diagnosis and dietary management of feeding difficulties (45 min) in toddlers and the other is a Q and A session with Dr. Elaine Mayon-White counselling psychologist on the behavioural aspect of feeding at this age.
