Sleep is so important for babies and of course for parents too. Insufficient sleep has been shown to hugely impact on quality of life, which I am sure most parents can confirm. During the last 23 years working as a dietitian in paediatrics, I have learnt to really appreciate also the importance of a good sleeping routine to facilitate good dietary habits and optimising nutritional intake. I therefore work regularly with sleep consultants.
